About Us

Mimi was opened by mother-daughter team Mia Nehme and Claudia Bowman in Ipswich, MA in the summer of 2007. 

The mission of the store is to promote the work of artists, particularly those from the New England area, and we are dedicated to offering products that are artist made or designed, using time honored craftsmanship. 

The second rendition of mimi was opened in the beautiful town of Manchester-by-the-Sea, MA in the Spring of 2010.

In February, 2011, Mia and Claudia decided to close the Ipswich location in order to pursue the development of an online store. They also welcomed long-time employee Janyce Brown as a business partner.

Mimi is located directly across from Manchester's Town Hall and Police Station, and is easily accessed from routes 128, 133 and 127, and from the train on the Manchester stop of the Rockport/Newburyport line. 

Parking is available on the street and in a large public lot behind Town Hall.
